There really are reasons to be hopeful, G7 was obviously a disappointment for a lot of us, we all expected more news to be released, possible updates of when transatlantic travel between Europe and the United Kingdom to the United States of America would resume, which never materialised. However this week positivity, optimism reignited there were reports that President Macron reveals that by the end of the month we would have a timescale in terms of when US Europe transatlantic travel would resume, and I would like to think that that included the United Kingdom.
I think there is a lot to be optimistic, yes that has been very little in remarks this week from the travel industry - I find this quite unusual. However the speculation of what the French president said and also just general speculation and talk from people who believe transatlantic travel resume in August, there is more positivity now than that has been in the last 16 months since the travel ban was introduced.
I would say, for those who are losing faith, pessimistic or down because there has not been any announcements, then please look at the talk, speculation, enthusiasm from the community at this present time. I am more upbeat than I ever have in the last year. I believe times are going to get better and whilst, for many, travelling to the US could not come sooner I think we will be able meet with our friends, loved ones or just generally travel to America in the coming months.
