So a lot of negativity this week regarding the lack of lifting the ban between the US and the UK but as I mentioned I'm still optimistic. I was last in NYC 67 weeks ago and to be fair I know in my mind that I'm likely nearer to being in the USA than when I was last there. Well that's the hope anyway.
I mentally pencilled Q4 in my mind of when I will be back in New York City; I'm hopeful I'll that this will still be the case. I do miss my US friends, connecting to them via the means of Teams or Facetime is joyous however what would make it even better is actually being with them in person. Listening to the sounds of NYC, marvelling at the sights and you know it doesn't matter how many times I have been I am still impressed with the city. So yes I do miss America, I miss my friends and I miss air travelling. There is something about air travel that so love, from arriving at the airport to that glass of wine before boarding the plane, seeing the landline of America for the first time, to seeing the Empire State Building and Freedom Tower on final approach into Newark Airport. Yes my friends, I miss America and I can't wait until America welcomes me.
