My airline says I should be able to fly to Chicago in the Autumn. Wishful thinking perhaps but I have booked my flights to the US for October.

I'm supposed to be flying next week to see my boyfriend in Chicago but the airline has cancelled my flights so I've rebooked in October. The airline was quite upbeat about flights from Paris to Chicago being reinstated in October/ November. I know they know as much as we do but it's good that they did not say wait until 2022.
