US immigration Attorney believes US Travel Ban will be lifted 9th September for fully vaccinated travellers. [Reader Story] Obviously nothing confirmed but we can hope.

Hi Sammual, Just thought you would like to hear a snippet of information I got today. A us immigration attorney we have been consulting with has said that the travel ban should be lifted 9th September for fully vaccinated travellers who have had a us recognised vaccine. I was asking him about the route through Canada staying for 14 days before legally enter the US via air and he said we would see our son sooner, that's when he said about the 9th! I know it's a very small snippet but I am hoping it's true, I hardly dare though.

Thanks for all you do to keep our spirits up.

  1. but what about the extended travel ban for Canada until the 21st September ... hard to believe that the US will let in UK and Schengen tourists earlier than their direct neighbours ... would be great ... so desperately waiting for the US to reopen

  2. They are only closed by land, not air. So this would in effect make the UK/Schengen tourists equal to Canada & Mexico

  7. A US recognised vaccine though? I have Astra Zeneca and it's not approved by FDA yet. But is by WHO.
