Hi Sam, I have been following your posts & appreciate the positivity you spread with motivating posts during the travel ban.
Yes, we too have endured for 900 days for a family reunion & finally made it yesterday.
Started from India by Qatar on 9th morning (Ahmedabad to Doha; 3hr flt). Fortunate that we did not start on 8th, else we would have got held up at Doha for want of NIE requirement.
Qatar airways was well organised for collecting the required RTPCR & vaccination documentation. Transition at Doha was smooth with just routine security checks.
QR719 to Seattle on B-777/200 was very comfortable. Excellent well spaced inflight services reduced the 14 hr+ long haul stress.
Everyone was wearing masks. At Seattle, immigration process got completed within 10 minutes. Homeland security officials were warm in welcoming the visitors. Baggage took some time to arrive. Post clearance & a short shuttle by train we reached the arrivals lounge.
Rest is history … the emotional moments, hugs & kisses … family celebration… we had arrived 😍
Thanks again Sam, for spreading positivity & reinstating confidence in people to travel…
