Guidance on completing your UK Passenger Locator Form.

Before you arrive back in the United Kingdom from the USA you will still need to complete your passenger locator form within 48 hours of arriving in the UK.

Before you travel to England you must complete a passenger locator form. You need to do this in the 48 hours before you arrive in England.

You do not need to take any COVID-19 travel tests before you travel to England or after you arrive.

You do not need to quarantine when you arrive in England.

When you fill in your passenger locator form:

  • Have your passport at the ready because you'll need to enter your passport details.
  • your travel details, including flight number ensure you know dates and times.
  • the address where you will reside in the UK, in my case it was my home address.
  • If you're fully vaccinated you won't need to take any tests or quarantine. But if there are any Covid tests you have to take after arriving in the UK, have the booking reference numbers.
  • Finally you need to have your vaccination details handy, ensure you have your details, download from the NHS app is likely the easiest option. You can scan the QR code from your vaccination certificate.
I always take my vaccination certificate handy so I can show airline officials. Normally the NHS app is sufficient.

Submitting the form is relatively easy and very quick.

There is a helpline to assist you completing your form:

Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, GMT

There is a assistance page to provide guidance on how to complete the form - https://www.gov.uk/guidance/passenger-locator-form-how-to-guide
