Are you going to New York City soon? New York City is relaxing some COVID rules and here are the changes.

So with rules regarding proof of vaccination being relaxed in New York City I've put together this quick guide highlighting the key changes

From March 7th.

On public transport - You will still need to wear your face mask on the likes of the subway, buses and trains.

Restaurants - NYC does recommend that you should wear a face mask in indoor public spaces, but restaurants are allowed to set their own mask policies. It's personal choice but check with the proprietor of the restaurant first.

You do not need to show your vaccination status when entering a restaurant however it's up to the restaurant if they wish to continue this practice so do not be surprised if you are asked.

Gyms- The same as above. NYC does recommend that you should wear a face mask in indoor public spaces, but Gyms are allowed to set their own mask policies. It's personal choice but check with the proprietor of the Gym first.

You do not need to show your vaccination status when entering a restaurant however it's up to the Gym if they wish to continue this practice so do not be surprised if you are asked.

Broadway Show - Facemasks are compulsory. Theatergoers must also be vaccinated under the Key to N.Y.C. policy. Also check with the theatre that they do not need booster vaccinations before you head out to see a show.
