U.S. travel industry urges White House to end the 1 day COVID testing requirement for international visitors to the US.

This is what we need more pressure on the US Government to end the 1 day COVID testing requirement for international visitors to the US. The US Travel Association has sent a letter to Dr. Ashish Jha who is the incoming White House COVID 19 response coordinator calling for an immediate end to pre-departure testing for fully vaccinated international visitors to the US. You would think this will also help boost visitors who intend to take advantage of travel to the US.

"It makes little sense to keep the pre-departure testing requirement in place for inbound air travelers when the U.S. government does not require negative tests at U.S-Canada and U.S.-Mexico land border points of entry," wrote U.S. Travel Chief Executive Roger Dow.

More on this story over at Reuters, however let's hope the extra pressure convinces the White House - https://www.reuters.com/world/us/us-travel-industry-urges-white-house-lift-covid-restrictions-mask-mandate-2022-03-22/
