The travel industry will get aggressive to end pre-departure testing for international travellers to the US, says the US Travel Association.

Whilst there is no news on the ending of pre-departure COVID testing, Roger Dow, CEO of the US Travel Association has told the media, "The travel industry will get "aggressive" to end pre-departure testing".

"The message has now been delivered to the White House, and we will continue to pressure," Mr Dow said.

Dow has promised to turn up the heat, I think whilst the testing has not been axed I believe the pressure will continue to be applied.

Mr Dow also said in a press conference, " Now, the U.S. still has a lot of work to do to normalize travel conditions, especially to ease the entry process. As you all know, our federal government still has a pre-departure testing requirement for all inbound vaccinated air travelers. We view this as an unnecessary hurdle—one that many other countries have now eliminated."

US Travel Association has said it will continue, " U.S. Travel is working diligently to get this testing requirement lifted".
