US Travel Association continues to call for the US Government to end pre-departure COVID testing for international travel to the USA. As US Department of Commerce announces a new National Travel and Tourism Strategy to bring tourists to the US.

Still no word on dropping the pre-departure COVID testing for international travellers to the US in the new National Travel and Tourism Strategy announced today.

The new National Travel and Tourism Strategy announced today sets an ambitious five-year goal of attracting 90 million international visitors to the United States each year. Part of the strategy is for Facilitating Travel to and Within the United States. The goal is to reduce barriers to trade in travel services and make it safer and more efficient for visitors to enter and travel within the United States.

However Roger Dow, President and CEO of the U.S. Travel Association said in response today, " There is a lot of work ahead, but the administration must start by immediately repealing the pre-departure testing requirement for all vaccinated international air travelers and taking steps to drastically lower visa wait times."
