It's really positive for US travel as United Airlines are excited to offer its biggest ever transatlantic schedule this Summer and Virgin Atlantic will expand their UK-US.
Despite the recent turmoil at Heathrow Airport United is still offering multiple flights per day to the US. Hopefully United will offer more flights to other destinations next year including my favourite, UA80, Manchester to Newark.
"We've tried all sorts of new and exciting things that have regained the feelgood factor about returning to travel," he said. "Good things are happening despite what's going on around us." Says Bob Schumacher, United's sales director, UK, Ireland, Israel, South Africa and off-line markets.

In addition US Travel is on the agenda for Virgin Atlantic with the unveil this week of the new A330. With 16 A330's being introduced expansion of US travel is very much on the cards.
"We've had a good look at our network because these aircraft do have the range to cover the entire United States. Boston is our launch route. After that, you'll probably see it [the A330-900] on other US destinations before we expand from there."
