Airbus is asked to build a new super jumbo, bigger than the A380 - more fuel efficient and more environmentally friendlier.

Now this I would like to see Emirates is asking Airbus to build a Super Jumbo, something bigger than the Airbus A380 but equally more sustainable and environmental friendly. The new aircraft should take advantage of new, more sustainable materials.

Tim Clarke, President of Emirates has said in an interview with CNN, " "Is it possible to redesign a new A380? Yes. Is it possible to lighten the aircraft? Yes. When they brought this aircraft to market, composites weren't really [widespread]," says Clark. "Imagine a composite wing and a predominantly composite fuselage. Imagine engines that are giving you a 20 to 25% improvement compared to what you get today."
