Boom Supersonic which is planning to introduce supersonic flying with the Overture aircraft has announced Symphony, will be the new propulsion system engine designed and optimized for its Overture supersonic airliner. Boom Supersonic is partnering with Kratos Defense & Security Solutions to develop engines for the aircraft. The plan is to cut transatlantic flying to 3 ½ hours. The first Overture jet will leave the factory in 2026 with certification planned for 2029. It may seem a while off but all within 10 years and that time will fly by, pardon the pun.
