Hi Sammual, I arrived here from LHR (via Helsinki) on Friday.

I was quizzed about my ESTA not being valid when I checked in, but that proved to be a non-issue at US passport control.

I would warn travellers that getting a Covid test in NYC right now is difficult; Shops have sold out of kits and the queues at testing centres are long. 

That would be a problem now you need a test before flying to the UK. Fortunately, I bought my antigen test kit with me and recommend others do the same.
