I’m getting ready for my trip to New York, the new normality of air travel.
In anticipation of my forthcoming US Travel trip to New York I am getting ready for my trip next week but I've also been watching what has been happening at Manchester Airport this week. lLong queues and even some people missing their flight. It has worried me because I travel to the US next week and I also have some European flights forthcoming. Thankfully today I've been reading twitter feeds from people either travelling from Manchester Airport or journalists and the chaos is not too bad. However I also have to remember that travel has changed since pre-covid, staffing levels are nowhere near what they were pre-covid and because there is pent up demand to travel its clear that the airports are not able to cope. I'm not going to delve into political wrangling and what airport bosses should have done, this is covered on other blogs, needless to say I hope as airports adapt to the demand in travel and as further staff is recruited we will see less of the issues witnesses this week at Airports such as Manchester and we will return to some sort of normality.
