Tip if you’re travelling to New York City soon. Travelling on NYC Subway and Buses is now a lot easier.

I forgot to mention this last week when I was in New York City. You can now pay by contactless on NYC Public Transport  whether it be by card or your smartphone, the system is called OMNY.  You simply tap in when you enter the subway station furthermore you can also use on the bus system too. Good news is that OMNY will not charge you, over a week, any higher than a 7 day unlimited Metrocard, $33. You also get free transfers, as you would do with a Metrocard fare.  

Card accepted include: 

Credit Cards - Cards issued on the Visa®, Mastercard®, American Express®, Discover®, UnionPay, and JCB networks are accepted today.

Debit Cards - Cards issued on the Visa®, Mastercard®, American Express®, Discover®, and JCB networks are accepted today.

Digital wallets including - Digital wallets on your smart phone, smart watch, and wearable are supported today, including Google Pay™, Apple Pay®, and more.
